Course Description:
In this course, Naiman A. Khan, PhD, RD will review literature on the value of early life as a critical period of brain development; discuss the role of human milk oligosaccharides in supporting brain structure and cognitive development; describe the preclinical and clinical evidence highlighting the impact of gangliosides on brain structure and cognitive function in early life; and summarize the current evidence on macular xanthophylls (i.e., lutein) and how it may impact cognitive function in children.Course Objectives:
